Before Trippie Redd's album Pegasus dropped, it leaked.
Lil Wayne's albums also have a history of leaking, so Trippie decided to compare himself to Wayne.
"I’m the real-life Lil Wayne now, you know what I’m saying?" the Ohio native claimed. "I dropped a leaked album. My sh*t like Carter V, boy. F*ck you talking 'bout?"
Pegasus ended up having a soft first week of sales, perhaps because people already heard it for free online.
Wayne has a history of overcoming leaks with big sales. So that's the difference between the two.
