Rick Ross's new single 'Color Money' has been the talk of the rap world for the last two days.
That's because the Bawse seems to take after Drake -- and either Lil Wayne or Birdman -- in its bars. Ross addressed whether he was coming for Drizzy this morning on The Breakfast Club.
"That record is what it is, ya dig?," Ross said. "It's a lot of different people that's going to interpret it a lot of different ways, and it is what it is ... Let’s see how it unfold. We know how I came and how I do. I don’t play no games."On the 'Color Money' line, "I got more money than that pussy that you’re signed to," Ross offered a clearer picture:
"Weezy's my homie, J Prince is my homie," Ross said. "I don't have [a relationship] with Birdman. If you read the Source magazine you would see that, ya know right now, and really me just seeing what Wayne going through as an artist. Him being a boss. Me idolizing Birdman at a time. Me looking up to Lil Wayne. Wayne being the first artist to make so many feats—not just as an artist but an artist coming from the South. That’s something that I took personal. So for me to see the way things are transpiring I can’t respect that. And I don’t respect that."It sounds like Ross may well be recruiting Drake and Wayne on 'Color Money'.
