Gina Rodriquez has apologized multiple times for posting a video in which she sings the part of Fugees track "Ready Or Not" where Lauryn Hill says "n*gga."

Fugees member Pras has now weighed in on the controversy during a TMZ interview.

"You have in the past certain Latin people who have what I call honory passes like Fat J, Cardi B J-Lo. I don't know what [Gina's] contribution to the culture for her to get a pass like that. When we make music, it's for people to sing along. Some people can't say certain words. I'm not sure she's the one."

TMZ honcho Harvey Levin questioned Pras's logic, calling it a "slippery slope".

Pras responded by using the example of Fat Joe: explaining Joe's Bronx upbringing and all of his time spent in the culture allowed him to say the word. (For the record, Fat Joe believes all Latin people are black no matter where the grow up.)

"Just because your Latina doesn't mean you can say it," Pras reiterated.

Pras then added it's never OK for a white person to say it no matter what their upbringing or their place in the culture is.

What do you think? And shouldn't Lauryn Hill be the Fugee speaking on this?
