Nicki Minaj's Queen was originally projected to do around 150K first week. Those would be disappointing numbers, about 100K less than her previous lowest opening and about 100K less than what Cardi B's debut album did earlier this year.

So Nicki pulled out all the stops to get those numbers up, including a ticket bundle and adding the hit "FEFE", which previously belonged to 6ix9ine, to her album. She ended the week with 190K. But that still wasn't enough to defeat second week Travis Scott, who's Astroworld did 225K. (Scott also boosted his numbers with promotions and straight up giving away free money.)

When DJ Akademiks pointed all of this out, Nicki yelled "fake news."

Ak also challenged the allegations that Nicki made yesterday of a multimillion-dollar conspiracy to keep her down.

Could we get some names and receipts on these claims Nicki... not sure if these tweets were indirect after I announced sales. But low key I don’t care bout none of y’all lol... and nobody could pay me to make anybody look like anything’. And to be clear.. maybe others get paid to make cardi b look better than u.
