Nas has had a lot of success investing in venture capital.

For example, his  Queensbridge Venture Partners made tens of millions on its Coinbase investment.

He's looking to Africa for his next big score.

Nas joined Google, Riot Games, and investment behemoth Andreessen Horowitz in populating a $20 million financing round for mobile games publisher Carry1st, which is based in Cape Town, South Africa

It's Andreessen Horowitz's first investment in an African-based company.

"We are delighted to be making our first investment in an Africa-headquartered company in Carry1st, a next-generation mobile games and fintech platform. We see immense opportunity for the company to mirror outstanding successes we’ve seen in markets like India, China and Southeast Asia," Andreesen Horowitz said a press release.
