Tupac being fired from the '90s film Menace II Society has been well-documented. And now MC Eiht has given his take on why he was terminated from the Hughes brothers-film.

"The Hughes brothers worked all of Pac's earlier sh*t," said Eiht on Talib Kweli's People's Party podcast. "'Brenda Got a Baby,' all that sh*t. So they knew him [and] knew he was difficult to work with, but I think New Line [Cinema] wanted him in the movie. 'Juice,' 'Poetic Justice,' you know, and y'all have a relationship with him ... We'll get him in the movie. I don't think it was the plan to keep him in the movie. We all know Pac, very vocal, very outspoken."

"He wanted to understand why he was being Sharif," Eiht continued. "Why is Eiht the banger? Larenz is the banger, Caine is the banger, why I got to be the voice of reason?"

Pac wanted more of a backstory to be told as to why his character was so different from the others.

So the late rapper refused to read his script at table readings and kept questioning why he was playing Sharif. He was eventually fired and the character was played by Vonte Sweet.

Do you think Menace II Society would have been better if Pac was in it?
