Lloyd Banks's debut album Hunger For More opened at number one in 2004 with a 433K first week.

As he explained to Elliott Wilson, that earned him a seven-figure advance for his second album.

"My advance for my second album was like a million dollars," Banks said. "I never told nobody that, but yeah, it was big.  I kind of told my manager."

Banks then agreed that those kinds of advances don't happen anymore.

"But then imagine what the third was supposed to be?  See what I'm saying?  That's when I started to figure it out," Banks said.

Banks' second album was supposed to be The Big Withdrawal.  However, he had to scrap it after it was leaked to the internet because he left a CD of the material behind after he had a three-way.

He dropped Rotten Apple in 2006.  It didn't have nearly the success of Hunger for More and the seven-figure advances stopped.
