Even though Drake is arguably the biggest rapper in the world, there are still a lot of people who don't like him and his music. 

Just ask Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def, who said that his songs are compatible with shopping.

Some have chalked the Drake criticism up to sheer hate, as opposed to people just not caring for his overall brand.

Lil Wayne, who discovered the "God's Plan" rapper, was asked about why he gets so much hate, and Wayne says it has to do with skin color. [Jump to the 18:07-mark]

"He light-skinned," said Weezy on The Richard Sherman Podcast. "That’s just American history. How I know is, because I’m not light-skinned. I hated on all light-skinned dudes in school. So yeah, it’s American history, man."
