Lil Wayne didn't just get $10 million and Carter V when he settled his lawsuit with Birdman.

He also got complete ownership of Young Money, as revealed in Billboard's big new piece on Wayne.

Young Money now belongs solely to Wayne, and its distribution deal with Republic remains in place. Tha Carter V will be the first album in his career to not have the Cash Money logo on it.

Prior to the lawsuit being settled, Cash Money owned 51 percent of Young Money.

Young Money's two biggest artists besides Wayne are Drake and Nicki Minaj. And that may be why Birdman was willing to give up Young Money. Drake's deal with Cash Money/ Young Money ended with his Scorpion album and he is now shopping for a new deal. On top of that, all of his prior royalties are being litigated. Nicki's new album Queen has been the worst selling of her career.

So unless Wayne can resign his boy Drake, it looks like the success of Young Money will depend mostly on the guy who now owns all of it.
