Danny McBride is known for playing goofball characters with oddly high levels of self-confidence.

Which sounds a bit like Kanye West.

Ye must think so too because he wants McBride to play him in his biopic, despite the lack of physical resemblance between the two men. 

McBride stopped by Jimmy Kimmel and told the tale of Kanye visiting him at his home in South Carolina and proposing the movie.

“One day I got a phone call out of nowhere and the voice sounded familiar, but I wasn’t sure who it was. I was like, ‘Hello?’ and he was like, ‘Hey, is Danny there? This is Kanye West.’ I thought it was a joke. He basically said that he was a fan of mine and wanted to come hang out", he explained.

"He had an idea for a project that I think was a pretty brilliant idea,” McBride added. “He wanted to do a movie about the story of his life and he wanted me to play him.”

Jimmy Kimmel agreed that the project sounded awesome and asked if he could play Kim Kardashian.
