DJ Akademiks has been going off on Nicki Minaj recently, claiming that Cardi B makes better songs than her, and that her only recent success has been remixes or a large artist feature. 

Now, Akademiks may be back-peddling because he claims Nicki Minaj has put a hit out on him. 

Just like his buddy Tekashi, it seems he has no shame in telling and took to Twitter today to let his fans know.

Of course, everything is a joke with Akademiks when it comes to Nicki Minaj. So he hinted that at this point in her career she can't actually put out a hit.

Ak then expanded upon what Nicki told him during a Twitch session. Jump to 40 minutes.

"Let me show you who Nicki really is. I'm reading it verbatim. 'You been mad since I made a joke about you with Joe [Budden] on my show. The people you rep won't be able to stop your jaw from getting broken. I know too much about your family for you to be playin' with me, you hoe a$$ rat. I'm reading the verbatim. Where you at now?'" 

According to Ak he responded with laughing emojis and a message, "I'm in New York. Your threat is received. We'll see each other at some point. Take care, babe."

Maybe this is why Nicki's guy Kenny Petty has been prancing around with an extended clip in his pocket.
