After Getting Pardon, Kodak Black Is No Longer Promising to Donate $1 million To Charity

When then-President Trump issued his commutation of Kodak Black's federal sentence for lying on a gun application, he referenced a Tweet Black had made on which he said he would donate $1 million to charity if he got sprung.

"If The President Them Free Me, I'm Gonna Spend 1 million on Charity within The First Year I'm Out.  That's on Everything," Kodak typed.

That Tweet has now been deleted.

Kodak's lawyer and father figure Bradford Cohen explained why Kodak is no longer standing behind his social media pledge.

“A statement promising something for something in exchange is not appropriate and although Kodak has always given to charity his whole career and will continue to do charity, not in exchange for anything. Some think this is a story. It isn’t. Instead of harping on a young Black man and how much charity he does, why don’t we take a look at the amount of charity the writers of these articles do? Last week, Kodak pledged $100k to setting up a scholarship fund in the name of Meadow Pollack. The week before he donated $50k to barstool fund to help small businesses. That’s $150k and he’s been out 5 days.”

Or perhaps Kodak needs the million to pay for his lawyers like Cohen.  Immediately after Black got out of his federal pen, the state of South Carolina confirmed they will "aggressively" pursue rape charges against Black.  He faces 30 years if convicted and only the governor of South Carolina can get him out of that.
